POSITION: TEMPORARY MALARIA GENERAL WORKERS: 350 POSITIONS

The Limpopo Department of Health invites interested and suitably qualified applicants to apply for 1,985 General Worker positions under the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP). These opportunities are available across hospitals, clinics, community health centres, and administrative offices throughout Limpopo Province under Departmental Circular No. 49… of 2026. Successful applicants will be appointed on the EPWP programme, which runs until 31 March 2027.
The programme offers temporary employment opportunities for qualifying candidates who wish to gain valuable work experience while supporting healthcare services across the province. Successful applicants will be responsible for cleaning services, infection prevention and control, waste management, maintaining clean and safe healthcare environments, and performing other general duties required to support the daily operations of health facilities.
DAILY STIPEND: R310.00 for a period of 132 Days

INHERENT REQUIREMENT:
A) Qualifications and Competencies
Minimum of Grade 12/Matric Certificate or equivalent qualification at
NQF level 4
B) Knowledge and Skills
Basic reading, writing and calculations skills.
Physically fit to carry malaria spray can for conducting indoor house
spraying & treatment of water bodies.
Ability to work with chemicals.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Mixing of insecticides.
Loading and offloading of goods.
Assist with moving of client’s property in the house and covering of
furniture before spraying.
Cleaning functions at malaria stations (Vehicles, Cans, Buildings and
Surroundings)
Complete spray and hut card (SP1) during spray operations.
Data Capturing.
Conduct environmental surveillance and community surveillance.
Perform any other General Work as directed from time to time.

Applications must be submitted using the new Z83 Application for Employment Form, which is available from any government department or can be downloaded from the Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA) website. Each application must be accompanied by a comprehensive and up-to-date Curriculum Vitae (CV).
The new Z83 form must be completed in full and signed by the applicant. All fields in Part A, Part C, and Part D are compulsory. In Part B, all sections should also be completed, except that South African applicants do not need to provide passport numbers. Applicants who are not conducting business with the State or are not directors of companies doing business with the State may indicate “Not Applicable” or leave the relevant section blank. Similarly, applicants who are not required to provide professional registration details may leave that section blank if it does not apply to them.
